Commission Flow
The public commission path is Build Record, Terms acceptance, Consent & Safety acceptance, Full Build Price payment, Paid Commission, Build Review, production release, documentation, documentation, and shipping.
Full Build Price
The Full Build Price is collected at checkout to submit the commission. Payment confirms the submitted Build Record and allows the work to enter Build Review. Payment does not override refusal rights or guarantee bench release if the scope is unsafe, unlawful, incompatible, technically unsuitable, outside capacity, or outside SSB standard.
Build Review and Production Release
SSB reviews fit, safety, scope, material suitability, engraving feasibility, customization compatibility, and bench capacity before release. Production release begins only after the paid commission clears Build Review and is accepted into active production.
Scope Control
The submitted Build Record defines the working scope: tool type, wood species, wood tier, handle work, body options, finish, engraving direction, artwork notes, and commission notes. Changes after submission may require approval, added cost, revised timeline, new proofing, or restart of a production phase.
Final Sale and Refund Limits
Custom work is final sale and is not returnable for preference changes, changed intent, mistaken selections, or buyer remorse. Once material is acquired, cut, shaped, engraved, proofed, finished, wrapped, documented, or otherwise committed to the commission, refund eligibility is limited by material cost, labor performed, irreversible customization, platform fees, and administrative handling.
Shipping and Risk Transfer
Once a parcel is handed to the carrier, custody transfers to the shipping process. Carrier delay, mishandling, theft, routing error, or transit damage must be addressed through the appropriate shipping channel when applicable.
Refusal Rights
SSB may refuse, pause, revise, or terminate service for requests that compromise safety, legality, consent, ethics, craftsmanship standards, material integrity, operational doctrine, or SSB reputation.
Required Acceptance
Consent & Safety Standard
Adult Responsibility
The Sub Space Boutique builds discipline tools for intentional adult dynamics, ritual structure, display, training, and responsible use by informed adults. SSB does not endorse coercion, non-consensual use, unlawful use, unsafe conduct, abuse, or use against any person who has not consented.
Consent Standard
Use requires informed consent, negotiated boundaries, clear communication, legal compliance, and ongoing responsibility from the adults involved. Consent can be withdrawn. A tool does not replace judgment, training, restraint, aftercare, or accountability.
Safety and Inspection
The client is responsible for inspecting the tool before use, checking the surface, edges, wrap, finish, body condition, and storage condition. Do not use a damaged, cracked, compromised, or unsafe tool.
Use, Care, and Storage
Store tools responsibly and out of access by minors or unauthorized persons. Avoid moisture exposure, harsh chemicals, unsafe impact, unauthorized repair, and any use outside the intended structure. Review Tool Care before ownership and use.
Acknowledgement
By accepting Consent & Safety, the client confirms that they understand adult-use responsibility, negotiated consent, safe handling, aftercare, inspection, storage, and jurisdictional compliance remain their responsibility.
