Build a Custom Discipline Tool

Choose how to begin. Build Direct opens the tool builder immediately. Find My Alignment opens the guide first for direction before selecting an instrument.

Know the Tool

Build Direct

Start with instrument selection and move through material, options, engraving, and review.

Need Direction

Find My Alignment

Use the guide first when the instrument, discipline style, or tool family is not clear yet.

Starting Price

Custom builds start with the instrument and material.

Foundation paddles begin at Slim $55 and Full $65. Straight cane builds begin at $85. Wood upgrades, wrap, finish, and engraving update the Build Total in real time.

01 Instrument
Choose tool
Choose the instrument that defines the build path, overall scale, and compatible options that follow through the rest of the record.
Choose the instrument that establishes scale, silhouette, striking behavior, and the option groups available throughout the record.

Builder fallback

Cannot complete the builder?

If the instrument or material selection does not respond, use Custom Piece Inquiry so the commission intent is not lost.

02 Material
Choose wood
Assign the wood species that will determine character, visual tone, weight, material risk, and pricing tier for the piece.
Select the species that will define tone, figure, weight, material risk, and applicable pricing for the commission.

Foundation

Base-price species for clean entry builds. Pine and Poplar are the standard Foundation woods.

Select

Core bench species selected for reliable performance, balanced presentation, and standard material handling.

Signature

Elevated species with stronger figure, more distinct character, or a moderate material upcharge relative to House stock.

Reserve

Highest-risk or limited species with the greatest material sensitivity, strongest upcharge, or reduced bench availability.

03Handle Record
Optional
Define the grip treatment, wrap direction, and any handle-side decisions that affect control, finish, and presentation.
04Body Record
Optional
Declare the body structure, face treatment, drilling pattern, edge direction, and any physical refinements tied to the striking surface.
05Finish Register
Optional
Assign the finish system, oil direction, and surface character that will determine the final visual tone and hand feel of the piece.
06Engraving Directive
Optional
Record the engraving directive, placement doctrine, proof path, and any customer adjustment notes that must follow the build packet.
Half paddles do not receive engraving in this build path. If a piece requires specialty work outside this rule, use a custom inquiry instead of the standard record.
Choose one engraving tier. Basic covers text-based engraving with placement control. House is for artwork or more involved engraving that may require proof review.
