The Sub Space Boutique

Hardwood Impact Paddles

Hardwood impact paddles are not interchangeable just because they share a general shape. Species, thickness, face area, perforations, edge work and handle geometry all change the finished tool.

The Sub Space Boutique builds hardwood paddles from solid material with attention to grain direction, edge finishing, balance and repeatable construction. We do not treat wood choice as a cosmetic dropdown. The material is part of the design.

Choosing by construction

A broad full paddle presents more surface area than a narrow profile. Perforations reduce air resistance and change the response of the face. A thick hardwood body carries different mass than a thinner tool. Dense woods and lighter woods also produce different handling characteristics before any engraving or decorative treatment is added.

Current SSB Workshop Releases include species such as hickory, Purpleheart, Zebrawood and Cuban Mahogany. The Purpleheart Full Paddle uses deep-carved lettering and stud detailing, while the Cuban Mahogany Full Paddle combines carved scrollwork, dark mica epoxy detail and a leather-wrapped handle.
