Custom Engraved Spanking Paddles

Custom engraved spanking paddles allow the surface of a hardwood tool to carry language, ornament or a one-off visual concept without turning the underlying build into an afterthought. At The Sub Space Boutique, engraving is part of the composition of the finished paddle.

The starting point is still the body: wood species, profile, thickness, handle and finish. Engraving is then sized and positioned around the grain and usable face rather than pasted onto a generic blank.

Engraving on finished hardwood

SSB work ranges from direct lettering to full-length ornamental engraving and detailed art builds. The Hickory Bound Edge Full Paddle carries full-length engraving across a 21 × 5 × 1 in. hickory body while preserving a visible natural center field, scorched perimeter and hand-bound edge treatment.

The Purpleheart Full Paddle takes a different approach with deep-carved DISCIPLINE lettering and black stud detailing. Both illustrate why engraving should support the wood and overall build instead of covering it indiscriminately.

One-of-one and commissioned work

Completed engraved pieces are released through Workshop Releases. Commission work can go further when the project calls for specific wording, orientation, placement or an original visual concept.
