Commissions are reserved for adults (18+) who live this lifestyle with intention. I do not build for novelty, shock value, or spectacle. I reserve the right to decline any commission that does not align with the values of The Sub Space Boutique, including requests that feel unsafe, dishonest, or outside my scope as a maker.

Acceptance into the commission queue is not automatic. Your inquiry is a request for consideration, not a guarantee of work.

Each commission is a one-of-one build. We agree on the tool format (paddle, cane, etc.), wood species, dimensions, and upgrades before any wood is cut. Minor aesthetic decisions (grain orientation, exact figure, subtle burn patterns) are left to my judgment as the maker.

Once the proposal is approved, the design is considered locked. Changes requested after that point may require a revised quote or a new commission.

The Deposit confirms the commission, locks the quoted price, and reserves production time in the House schedule. Submission of the Deposit signifies full acknowledgement and acceptance of the Commission Terms. The remaining balance is collected at completion before delivery. A commissioned tool will not ship or transfer until paid in full.

The remaining balance is due when your tool is completed and approved for shipping. Payment must be received in full before the tool leaves the bench. If payment is not received within the timeframe stated on your invoice, I may release the slot and retain the deposit.

All prices are in the shop’s currency and do not include any customs, duties, or import fees charged by your country.

Small clarifications to engraving text or wrap color are welcome before materials are ordered. Structural changes – such as switching tool format, wood species, or major upgrades – after proposal approval may require a new quote or a new commission.

Once cutting, carving, or burning has begun, changes are limited. At that stage, requests that materially alter the build may not be possible or may require a new commission at full price.

Cancellation is only permitted before wood is cut. A $100 Design & Consultation Fee is retained for time already invested. After material commitment, cancellations are not accepted. Any further accommodations are strictly at House discretion.

Your proposal includes an estimated build window. This is a disciplined, good-faith estimate, not a guaranteed delivery date. Variables such as wood movement, finish curing, health, and family emergencies can affect timing.

If I foresee a meaningful delay, I will communicate with you. Commission pace will never be accelerated at the expense of safety, craftsmanship, or my obligations as a parent.

Each commission is photographed for my private ledger and, in some cases, for public archive or marketing. I will never share your legal name, address, or identifying personal details alongside images of your tool.

If you prefer your piece not to appear publicly, you may request a “no public photos” note on your ledger entry. I reserve the right to retain build photos for my internal records regardless.

These tools are crafted for consensual, informed use between adults. I am not present in your space to monitor negotiation, consent, or safety. You are fully responsible for how the tool is used, stored, and introduced into your dynamic.

By commissioning a tool, you agree to use it within your own risk-aware framework, to respect your partner’s limits, and to seek appropriate education on safe impact and aftercare.

Submitting a commission, paying a deposit, or approving a proposal confirms that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms.
